Kids Creative Upcyclers Club
Parents and Children can join us for an after school session of making upcycled projects from textiles, revamping old clothes, making new things from fabric and experimenting with decoration and repair techniques.
Sessions are suitable for children aged 7 upwards. Sessions must be booked in advance as space is limited.
An adult is expected to stay in the session to create alongside the child, offering assistance, support and encouragement where needed.
Some of the activities we could explore during our sessions:

T-shirt or sweatshirt refashion
Simple fabric printing/painting
How to make T-shirt yarn
Weave/braid a table mat or rug
Make a dog toy
T-shirt shopping bags
Upcycled junk jewellery
Make your own headband or hair clip
Pillow case dresses (machine sewing)
Make a simple cushion/ cushion cover (machine sewing)
Simple hand embroidery
Simple hand applique/patching
